Just to clarify.

All the Q200 & Q300's are on the Eastern AOC.
All the Q400's are on the Sunstate AOC.

Either pilot group can operate the aircraft.

The tickets are required to say who operates the aircraft if it's not QF. Same goes for Cobham(although it still says NJS), Jetconnect, Network, Alliance etc.

ADL is a Sunstate crew base.

It says that on your ticket because the q300 is on the eastern AOC. It's a sunstate base.
Thanks for the clarification.

So just to clarify, is a 3000 hour pilot without an ATPL on a different pay scale to a 3000 hour pilot with an ATPL?

Re Application on hold

Hi guys,

Just to keep this thread going, Ive been put on active hold. Would like to hear from others that have done the same. I understand we're all being put on hold, but Id like to know if people are getting start dates etc.

Any replies much appreciated.

Gordono

Just out of curiosity, when did you go through the interview/sim process and when did you get notified of the hold file? I had an interview/sim early May but still haven't heard anything.

I have a mate who is in the same boat as you (interviewed in may but no reply) so you're not the only one.

I interviewed in early may also.

Anyone on the hold file received start dates for January or February? I've been on the hold file for well over 15 months and wondering if anyone else is in the same boat or if they have just forgotten about me...

qlink on hold

seems that guys are called for a course after 8 months waiting
If its longer than that then you start wondering whats going on..
???? most guys just wait patiently without questioning ..anything
because it starts the interview process again..so what do you do
,,,just wait and hope you get a call.??? 1 year wait does test you
because you could be going elsewhere,,,

Clearice,

Out of curiosity, what base preferences did you nominate? I've heard rumours that they're really just focusing on Sydney and Brisbane at the moment. Perhaps this is why there's a delay? Ive been on active hold for 8 months now

Whowee, I actually dont re-call ever being asked in the process for my requested basing but, I would be more than happy with Sydney or Brissy

Think of the active hold file as a mini seniority list. 48 applicants come through the interview process every month. Some make it on to the list some don't. Depending how you went on the day you will be ranked and added to the list. When your numbers up you will get your letter of offer..unfortunately for the guys who have been on for a while, date of interview isn't the key it's the score you get on the assessment day. In other words you could be at the top but the latest assessment centre could see you drop considerably should applicants out rank you. Be patient and for those who arnt DE..head to the bush and clock up the hours, will be benifical in their long run.

Sunshinelove,

It means you will be looked at first on their next intake. Like, they liked you but the Ground School might have been full, so they have to wait for the next one.

It happened to like 6 people in my current Ground School.

So, in effect, by your description it is nothing like a seniority list. Once on a real seniority list you cannot be gazumped by someone who joins it later.

Perhaps a different anecdote is warranted
