EWL - QF/JQ etc. have worked very VERY hard trying to paint TT as an awful airline, but they have new aircraft & their fares are generally cheapest, except maybe at last minute cos they're full.

FWIW, most travellers I know won't touch Tiger with a barge pole based on anecdotal evidence of how they ONCE treated their passengers. While past performance is not a guide as to future performance, reputations do linger in the mind of the paying public. Consumers are generally not stupid, and a poor reputation is diffucult to recover.

You obviously been sucked in by all the spin. Consumers are very stupid, if they believe there's any real difference between JQ & TT.


Actually very little difference domestically between all 4 carriers QF, VA, JQ & TT if flying economy for leisure.


TT is also finally getting some small business traffic, cos they are cheaper generally.

How can they be cheaper when Jetstar guarantee to beat by 10%?

I remember when flight centre used to have a similar deal (and I didn't have staff travel). I'd simply get a quote from flight centre. Get the other travel agents to beat it. Flight centre would knock 10% off. I'd then do the rounds again. Flight centre would keep knocking off 10% until no one would play the game with me.

Saved a lot of money until they changed the policy, and I got staff travel

doubt if anyone actually gets a better fare from JQ or Flight Centre. These useless guarantees are just meant to con the punters into thinking for some reason they are cheaper.
