Qantas believe passengers contracted the illness before boarding.
It could be that they contracted this before boarding, but I wonder what makes so Qantas certain.

Maybe something to do with the fact that they said they were all crook before they boarded the flight!

It appears they were well looked after and they were in the one tour group. Must have had a dodgy meal together before departure. Not a pleasant place to be when you have severe gastro.The crew must have been very, very busy.

ABC News interviewed a person from the group and they stated that one or two displayed symptoms before leaving.

The fact it was a group travelling together that got sick and not anyone else on board is an important hint as to why they think is was caught prior to boarding.

Well done by Qantas handling the situation, a bit of luck having a couple of nurses and a gastrointestinal specialist on board.
