Airline sources confirmed this week that the carrier was contemplating the move but said no decision had been made.
Parent company Virgin Australia Holdings is already registered in the NSW capital and five of the 11 top executives are based there. They are Velocity Frequent Flyer chief executive Neil Thompson, group executive corporate communications Danielle Keighery, chief customer officer Mark Hassell, group executive government affairs Jane McKeon and group executive sales Judith Crompton.
It is understood that the changing dynamics of the market, as Virgin pursues a higher percentage of premium customers, makes switching headquarters to the nation's biggest city more attractive because of increased access to key corporates.

"someone who claims to know someone who works for an airline reckons that, that person, or persons is thinking a thought but as yet had not concluded nor articulated that thought."
Thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Perhaps "STEVE CREEDY AND ANDREW FRASER" would be better suited to the womens weekly or Today Tonight.
