I haven;t got a reply. "Review". I spoke to a few people, some girls I know are going to an assessment center on Wednesday in Brisbane. Looks like for who that doesn't have a reply by now hasn't got in :-(
Nunc est bibendum

For those of you who have received knock backs, don't think it's the end of the world. I've flown with quite a number of pilots over the years who were knocked back from the Qantas cadetship only to subsequently get into Qantas. Stick at it and work hard. This industry does on occasion reward those who do the hard yards and put in.
Good luck to all.
Good luck to all.

Does anyone here have any experience with assessment days?
What sort of questions will they ask in the interview?
What sort of group activity would you have to do?

Has anyone been invited to a Sydney interview day yet? Status is still under review and I haven't heard of anyone from Sydney being invited yet. But no rejections yet either after the psychometric stage.

Does this mean I may get an invite or no one has told me I've failed?

My son is attending the assessment day. Anyone have any idea what the individual presentation is about (is that meant to be your looks/appearance, or do they actually get you to present something on the day)?
Also, for the flight grading part, is it just a hand eye co-ordination test (there is no mention of aviation type maths questions/aviation related aptitude tests which are common for most other pilot cadetships)?

Congratulations to your son on getting through to the next stage.
It is about appearance. It's about dressing smart, it is a formal interview after all.
I hope he does well.
Good luck!

Are you able to elaborate on the theory questions? Would this be the sort of info found in the bak textbook or would it be more general knowledge?
How many people attended your assessment centre? And how many of those do you think got offers?
Is it a presentation about yourself or would you have to study a topic then make a presentation on it?

Surely its an actual presentation, I have had one before with another airline set scheme. It's a no brainer that they will assess your appearance. Don't wear flip flops and shorts...
