Now Mark Webber I can hang my hat on.
John Boy has done a good job and the 7 ought 7 and publicity has done the Great White Rat a good deal of benefit BUT the scared wierd little guys religion has worried me.
An Aussie playing underdog in a team who is doing brilliantly despite all odds is my kind of guy.
Best all

Anything has to be better than Travolta's onboard faux pilot rubbish - everytime I pax I cringe and feel sorry for the CC that have to put up wth Travolta and all that team BS everyday.
The whole Amassador thing is about creating advocates and centres of influence - not a single biz sale will be made because XYZ is on a screen saying how great he is treated.
All this comes from a fast fading era where a less educated and savvy public would be moved by 'anyone' famous.
It will increasingly be all about value (note AJ value is not price) convenience and confidence (OTP/safety/consistency) - sadly, everything that our airline is not.
Changing the curtains and seat covers does not change the reality you're sitting in a clapped out 767. Changing the token celeb (at a real cost/contra) does not sell a single seat.
Changing a CEO and out of date management however...............

Aviation seems to be a natural follow-on for any number of professional racing drivers, a trend started way back in the early 60s' by Sir Jack Brabham, as has been recently noted on the thread about Queen Air aircraft.
In fact a number of F1 drivers during the 60s' learnt to fly at Bankstown during the Tasman series which used to use the now defunct circuit at Warwick Farm, just a stones throw away. Jim Clark was certainly one.

Instead of Travolta they should have Joyce doing the Welcome Aboard video, so the pax would know who is responsible for what they are about to experience. ( subtitles would be a good idea as well)

Yeah Yeah
Has anybody told Webber that JQ pay a lot less than what F1 pays ?
But then again, he still looks natural, even handsome say a lot of the girls, unlike Travolta with his hair plugs, botox and facial surgery - He looks as real as a blow-up doll.
Perhaps Wirthless can provide some grooming tips ? Perhaps not....
