Air Pacific Airprox? - Nadi-Bris 11 Aug

11 Aug 09 Nadi - Bris - Freind on board informed me of possible airprox en route Bris. Crew took evasive action hard over to starboard and climb, (TCAS initiated?) then witnessed other a/c (red/wht) opposite direction CLOSE enough to see details. Proves the system works............
Nothing said on board!

Regards
Wiley

TCAS does NOT command turns! Only Climb/Descents or variations thereof!

TCAS RA initiated climb with visual contact, starboard turn possibly instinctive, as happened to one of our aircraft.Turn would possibly not have occured without visual contact.
