Word is she has dug her heels into office in MELB and although not getting paid, is in there as usual “looking busy while doing nothing”….She is ringing around OJ CC’s and asking if she can forward their resumes to Strategic for possible jobs…and then is asking them how they will vote in the upcoming meeting

Bulldust: OZjet and Heavy Cargo saga.

OZ people: do yourselves a favour and forget the bulldust that is published regarding the OZJet future operation. The closure and non continuance appears almost certain with financial benefit in favour of the HeavyLift

Very sad, it would be great if the crew and others actually receved their full entitlements.
Is it possible for a vessel to be impounded by a group for outstanding payments ??.

HeavyCargo just goes silent when asked for a committment, has anyone bothered to confront the OZ-Heavy office for answers.

New ventures:
HeavyLift application to IASC 15th June 09 for increased freight capacity to / from Port Moresby. The IASC should request the past six months deadload weight statement in both directions from the HeavyLift Cargo handling companies in Australia and Port Moresby to verify the capacity claim.
IASC and ASA should work together to monitor the flight operations of HeavyLift and linked companies to ensure their flights operate and the weights are in order.
Goodluck

Hmmm the plot thickens. For the Strategic deal to happen now they want to cap staff entitlements. Not sounding quite the same as what their first noises were. With the cap, staff may end up with about 60% of their full entitlements.
But good old Nick could end up with over half a million and still gets to keep the 4 old airplanes which can't be touched because OJ don't own them Heavylift does.
A better outcome would be for staff to get what Nick suggested was the case (ALL was what he said right here) and for him to get the loose change. I will vote for that!

Gasman, by rights any loose change should go to the small fry who yet again have been stiffed by the bigger end of town. Poor buggers like the office cleaner and printer who are looking at 5 cents in the dollar if they are lucky.
Modern business ethics 101. Buy a company that's a bit run down and so is cheap. Strip the assets. Lease the assets back. Never, ever, ever pay bills unless non-payment would directly stop operations. Pull the cash flow out. When too many court actions threaten, go to administration.
To cheer myself up, I think I will go and play my favourite Dire Straits song now - 'Money for nothing'

At the end of the day, OzJet staff, suppliers, and clients have all been screwed by NL and Co. But some of you will still continue to blame certain parties in the Melb office, but those of you who did not work there have no idea of the day to day issues that they had no control over but yet were still blamed. ALL financial control was removed from Melb when the company was first taken over and handled out of Sydney, which surely makes them responsible for the complete debacle that occurred, all due to non payment of accounts, which ultimately led to the shut down of OzJ.

As for those NL supporters in OzJet, when do you start employment with his new company as he promised you? Oh, sorry I forgot, there was no new company was there.

Good luck to all OzJet staff, hope you find what you are looking for, and believe in Karma, what goes around comes around.

Very sad, but true. The Administrator's report hinted that Ozjet may have been trading insolvently since June 2006, but as the deed of arrangement has been accepted for Strategic to buy Ozjet, as I understand it, no legal action can be taken now against the directors of Ozjet.
So yet again, the bad guys get away scot free.
Believe the carve up sees the staff getting $800k, NL (God bless Him) $550k, and then the residual to be distributed between the unsecured creditors at between 5 and 10 cents in the $.

Nick will need every cent of that $550,000 just to pay his lawyer for deeds past.
As for the future, standby to see Heavylift depart these shores soon.

There is no guarantee HC that your foriegn AOC will even be renewed come June 30th. Your one and only operational aircraft may just be parked along with the rest of them.

Is the Heavy Cargo update on Ozjet correct.

One would believe if Strategic took over Ozjet then it would be on other web pages.

The only thing certain would be the financial aspect. Heavylift and its owner would not be out of pocket.

Time will reveal the entire story but believe the OZ staff and creditors will be the last payee.

Perhaps one day all will see the demise of HeavyLift Cargo. With all aircraft parked and the head office closed.

Perhaps CASA are on the best option road, close soon to avoid future problems.

Sorry to break the bad news to you clowns. A little birdie tells me the current aircraft will continue to operate after June and another two additional B727-200Fs coming to Join it ?

We wished Strategic well with their passenger operations.

Why have you chosen not to address the questions put to you by Down3Greens about CASA and your AOC?

Is that because you can't, or has he caught you out telling porkies?

HC good luck with your continuing cargo operation. I wish Strategic
well too. I hope to see both of your operations up and running for
many years to come. There are too many wingers here, I guess
they all want Quantas to be the only airline to fly in Australia. The
airline industry is a tough business to be in and anybody employed
in it has to expect to take the rough with the smooth.

Tartan/Heavy Cargo/etc/etc/etc,

Next time all of your split personalities are in town together, can you organise a meeting amongst yourselves and let the Head Clown know its all over?

Just go. You won't be missed.

Mods, care to close this thread?
