Cargo744 or should we just call you AG, either way you obviously have no idea about MJ, SA has paid all entitlements and it is the Administrator that is withholding the funds.

So before you start bashing someone that actually does care about the ex employees you should have your facts right. More than I can say then your ex employer Mr Charlton!

Suggest this may have been B737-300 VH-NLK of Our Airline in the Norfolk Air livery. OA took over from Ozjet after their collapse back in May and from all reports, a vast improvement.

Yea, you are prob right. My head was buried in a broken 777 outflow valve, just caught a glimpse of the tail. Not too clued up on the Ozjet Ops.

Cheers, Kiwi.

All OzJet B732s were actually 'owned' by NL or his various offshore hidey-holes. If Wells Fargo Bank got involved they are bloody slow learners. They got burned with the Air Nauru 737-400 and that was a sweet ship, worth about 14 million at the time, not a collection of junk now worth less than 10% of that in total.
It is probable that liens were held over the aircraft by creditors like Perth Airport and the MRO in Indonesia, so maybe Wells Fargo bought the debt. Who knows? Contrary to what people may think, NL actually did have a business plan. It may have been - ahem - " unconventional " - but it worked well for him. If he has also ripped off Wells Fargo Bank then he is one cunning stunt. But all this is pure speculation. Heavy Cargo, where are you? Can we have your version?

Out of a Job perhaps HC?

Interesting to note, watching IASC the operators chucking up a stink about the CNS - POM route.

Just so heart warming to hear you say that the cargo gig is doing well.

Heart warming also hear that you have a use for, and and even cash from the OJ 732's as well.

Maybe if you had of done that just a few short months ago, you could have paid the employee entitlements and helped out a few creditors as well.

Heavy Cargo, what a humble and caring Australian employer you were.....not

OzJet passengers

Hi

Please excuse a none pilot on here, I am from the other side of the cockpit door . I am searching for a way to get a refund from OzJet or elsewhere, for a trip taken in May under the advice that everything was OK.

Hah! to that - in hindsight of course.

Can someone perhaps give me pointers on where to go, who to see, or where I should make email/phone contact to obtain a refund for the NONE REFUNDED tickets for Bali flights, that were paid for well before the trip took place.

Phone numbers and email address would be good. As many as you can supply would be great as I am willing to try them all! My insurance failed to pay out - as they usually do and try and cajole their way out of paying - by advising that they do NOT cover company financial difficulties "their" problem or responsibility to the insured.

kind regards

Peter

Unfortunately Peter you've blown it I would say. Your an unsecured creditor and way down the list of priority for creditors.

If you want to try give Nick Leach a call at Heavilift. He's a most pleasant chap!

Peter

I am a Travel Agency owner, and therefore not the sharpest tool in the shed, however:

If you paid for the fare by credit card, you can legitimately call them and demand the fare is refunded due to non delivery of service.

It is a fairly straight forward process.

Call your card company and can it.

Need any further advice, give me a call week days on 1800 067 207 or after hours on 0419 323 989.

The same happened when Ansett fell over. Thankfully most of our passengers were on credit card.

Best regards

Ron

Seems that the Ozjet guys continue to get done over.

Public documents show that Strategic Global P/L (…STRATEGIC AIRLINES…) are attempting to win the hearts, and votes, of the former Ozjet Staff by offering them some $370,000 less than the group is owed.

I bet the Ozjet staff are impressed with the knowledge that they are only considered to be worth 71% of what they are owed just so Strategic can get a cheap AOC and some protected routes.

Considering that many of the staff would probably get more through the GEERS process, than that offered by Strategic through the offer..

Maybe the DOCA will be voted down at the next meeting, the Ozjet people get what they are owed and Strategic get an AOC the tried and true method…..without a large bunch of out of luck employees losing out.

Most recent circular to creditors indicate that HeavyLift proposed a variation to the Ozjet Airlines Pty Ltd DOCA.

"The Creditors resolve that he Administrator make application to the Court under s445D to terminate the deed on the grounds including that the deed is contrary to the interests of the Creditors of the Company as a whole, and in particular, contrary to the interest of the employees as creditors.

The reasons behind his last line is that "The creditors were not given sufficent information at the time of the adoption of the DOCA to appreciate that it was not in their interest.

How true, when you are told the employee entitlements are $827, 278 when they were $1,270,000.

Now Strategic Global Pty Ltd are off to the courts to enforce the DOCA, which has a $422, 722 employee shortfall.

Comment by the Deed Administrator in his circular.

"I believe that the relief sought by the Company and Strategic in the Originating Process[/I] ( Federal Court action listed 17 Nov 2009) may affect the interests of creditors under the Deed of Company Arrangement. In this regard, creditors may wish to seek their own independent legal advice.

Yeah right, if the correct information had of been supplied in the first place there would be no reason why I and my colleagues would need to get legal advice in order to get what is rightfully ours, that being the $442, 722 shortfall being paid by Strategic in the DOCA.

Come on Heavy Lift, put a bit of legal weight into this thing, follow through with what is required, you are the largest creditor and any increase in payout will increase your bottom line as well.

(posted on this thread as tail wheel does not see the connection of this subject to Strategic)
