Air Nelson world's 2nd biggest Q300 operator??
Once no 23 arrives, they'll have just five less than the biggest operator, Air Canda Jazz.

Good post 1279shp.
I have paxed with Air Nelson on several occassions and they are a Good airline. Also the Dash 8 -300 looks pretty good in those colours.
Wouldn't mind driving one of those around NZ.

23! nice work, it seems like just yesterday i had your chief pilot on the jumpseat of a qantaslink dash back when you guys were setting up for the new fleet.
what a nice little gig, banging around new zealand in a dash, top airline and taking in the scenery.
enjoy.

Interesting fact, thought there would be heaps more operators with more that 23 / 24 Dash.
Remoak - Maybe its time to ditch the ironical sense of humour bit. No offence mate but it kind of makes you sound like an a$$hole.
What is ironical about your post is that #24 will be the last 300 series ever to be made. So your correct there probably will be some kind of celebration.

Imagine the celebrations when the 24th one arrives...!!!

You are partly right. The ironical bit is that when the 24th arrives, they will only be four short of the largest operator. That's a bit like coming fourth in a grand prix - nobody ever remembers who came fourth, it is essentially meaningless.
Advice on humour considered for about 2 nanoseconds and then duly rejected. I stopped caring what people on PPRuNe thought of me years ago... being popular here being about as meaningless as being the fourth largest operator of a little turboprop!

Ironical... farcical more like.
Remoak, you may find that it will be or is the second largest operator of Q300s. not the fourth. When trying to be funny, it pays to have an idea of what you're talking about.

Whatever. Who cares? Fourth, second, it's still meaningless. A bit like saying NZ has the second largest number of Morris Minors still on the road than anywhere else...
By all means be proud employees. It must make you all warm and fuzzy having so many Dashes. Just don't shout about it on forums. Definitely not cool.

Almost as uncool as being they guy who has to cry down anything anyone says about NZ aviation.
Like I said mate, makes you sound bitter and twisted...hope you see the irony in that!
Oh and by the way, Ansett STRIKE, think that was Aussie in 89. I don't talk about that much.
Ansett NZ LOCKOUT 1999, that was the one I was involved in and do mention from time to time...Lest we forget....
