Tiger accuses Qantas of low act
So, let me get this straight... Qantas refused to help out a direct competitor get a very small number of flights sorted out groundside... so even without them being set up properly on the ground and ready to take this on Tiger STILL sold those tickets to passengers being wholy aware of the problem. Tiger has then complained about it calling a low act.
I think the real low act here comes from Tiger selling tickets to customers knowing it had an issue that probably wouldn't be resolved in time and then going to the press about it and having a go at Qantas for it.
Yep, great start for Tiger :P

The ground handling agent in Singapore is not Singapore Airlines, it is Singapore Airport Terminal Services (a SQ subsidiary which they are trying to sell). I think Tiger use Swissport as a GHA in Singapore.
Engineering wise, QF have their own engineers, and Jetstar use Singapore Technologies Aerospace (ST Aerospace), neither anything to do with SQ.
Misleading statement by Tony Davis, SQ is providing zero direct support to Qantas and Jetstar in Singapore.
Tony does not also mention that the Singapore government investment arm (Temasek Holdings) also own sizeable chunks of Jetstar and Singapore Airlines. If Qantas was a shareholder of Tiger, I am sure they would get some support from QF, at the moment the only support they seem to get is from the SQ group and Ryanair.

Skystar320,
If Tiger had such and "term agreement", the statements by Tony Davis do not make sense.
Please also note, that until not so long back QF used to turn SQ aircraft around, SQ pulled out of that on short notice, and cost a number of engineers their jobs.
And yes, I think it is 20-30% owned by Temasek Holdings, and has a Temasek CEO (Ms Chong Phit Lian), the mint lady.
