The old Ansett thread again... sorry

I have read all this stuff about the bloke in QLD wanting to get Ansett off the ground. After reading all the posts dating back for many years it is cear that no one thinks it can happen.

(dont ya just love his website)

My question is, why don people think h can do it. Maybe im wrong in saying this but isnt it just a name(a protected one at that)???

I just think that if he wants to hve a go and spend all hs money doing it then good on him.

Any thoughts.

You had to be there to know.

Why is Australian nothing like the original Australian/TAA? Why was Compass II a shameful rip off of Compass? It's not the same, will never be the same, so let sleeping dogs lie. Call it something else & let it build its own reputation, rather than trying to live off the "respect" or reputation of the former.

An expression I heard many years ago

"The only way to make a small fortune out of Aviation is to start with a big one."

Many times over the years that has been so true
