Air Nsn doing the Ring around

Heard that Air Nsn are doing the ring around today, so if you are waiting for a chance to drive a dash standby your phones!

that won't necessarily stop someone being called for an interview. But it will be raised in the interview, as if it somehow proves something. Don't let this bollocks stop you applying, if you're coming home from the big OE you could do worse

Yes I had that bullshirt 50 hr thing thrown at me when I applied to them 11 years ago (at the time 4000hrs tt, 2000 multi). Blessing in disguise actually, thank god I didn't heve the opportunity to go there.
I for one must thank them for their rediculous requirement.
Anyway I am in recruiting now in another part of the world so look fwd to imparting some similar requirements to these same folk should they want to come up here.
Real nasty characters in the NZ recruiting scene, lots of envy, jeolousy and chips on shoulders (maybe I am in that club now due to past experiences)

Recent IF?

They gave me a job with zero IF time in NZ. That requirement is well and truly gone.

Maybe the 50hr recent NZ IF requirement is used to wade out any aerosexual incognito that the radar didn't pickup at the start of th process?

air nelson

From what i understand we had the 50 hours recent time seeing there was no sim check to check that they can actually fly a aircraft, yeah you can have many a thousand hour and still suck.
Now that the interview includes a sim ride in the dash they can check flying ability there. So i wouldnt imagine we are to big on the 50 hours recent if anymore

Bazbogan has hit the nail on the head!

The 50 hours NZ IFR recent experience was an historic way of politely telling people that were deemed unsuitable/incompatable............some individuals constant desire to "flogg a dead horse" is indeed confirmation that the correct decision was made.

I'm with you Swamp Donk. There is nothing worse than a broken record playing the same song over and over again.

In answer to your question... I had heard a few of me old buds (not sticky buds) from Origin were on this interview round and they all have in excess of 4000hrs TT and 1500 Multi turbine, so maybe you'll get a go next time - best of luck thruster!

yeah I got it the first time... don't you guys understand what smileys are...

There is nothing worse than a broken record playing the same song over and over again.
... and nothing funnier than people who bite every time (despite liberal smiley use)... and have absolutely no concept of irony...

Rock on, proppies...

Ah.....The old "it was only a joke" defense. And you still wonder why Air Nsn used the 50hr requirement to keep you out?
