sorry to hear about your trip .
I can understand QF trying to pull a shifty as they cannot be trusted!
You see last night was a Friday night and the three sisters would have been out enjoying a glass of cider!
As no one from the shire was on that crew why should they bother!
Bastards!!!!!

Offshoring Ultimately Damages The Brand

Interesting to note that the German company Powergen is closing its call centres in India admitting that outsourcing has "hurt customer satisfaction". Management admited that offshoring had had a negative effect with customer complaints soaring.
European union leaders said that this was evidence that offshoring does not work. "It is becoming increasingly clear that the business case for offshoring is being eroded by the day."

I wonder when this flashpoint will occur within Qantas ?
You cannot have a cabin full of Thai, kiwi, & Pommy crew and still trade as "The Spirit Of Australia."
None of these f/as- "Call Australia Home".
Qantas' whole advertising campaign is becoming FALSE.
The general public are being sold a LIE.

The FAAA need to continue to broadcast this fact.

Spotting the Qantas Crew in a crowded pub

See if you can spot the newly arrived Qantas crew in this crowded pub -all ready to watch the Qantas Socceroos take on Brazil.
Group 1:"Aussie, Aussie Aussie -3 VBs thanks cobber!"
Group 2: "One Singha, a Steinlager and a pint of Carling -khawp khun khawp"

Qantas Socceroos indeed - Geoff bathes in all this nationalistic fervour while his henchmen think of new ways to send all the Australian jobs offshore -and take performance bonuses for ruining the lives of many thousands of honest employees.
You really do wonder how some Management sleep straight at night.

Thumbs down Sawadee,sawadee,sawadee.............oi,oi,oi !!!!!

Agree with you both Lurker and Leane.
BUT , I feel the reality upon us is that this will never change, in fact its probably going to increase at a rapid rate to offset those pesky fuel price rises !!!
Just heard that there were approx 850 Expression of Interests sent in .( This should make the Visitors happy as one of there KPI's is trying to achieve an attrition rate comparable to out LHR base "colleagues" of over 8.7%.- ours is 2%. ) There were approx 125 CSM applications. This is a big number considering there are a total of about 320 CSM's. Is there a message in these numbers for our learned management team ( read imbeciles). Thats right, over a third of your trusted , respected "leaders" want out. They have had a gutful of all the IFE breakdowns, lies, KPI-"chats" and psycho babble assessment centres. Now that the bloke from the PER base has "bolted" there is no one with any clue of what really happens on board. A CSM mate of mine just had his Develoment Plan chat with his "manager" ( Kiwi sociopath) He said it was a total debacle. He was asked to complete an online Communications Course through Qantas College. How can any one learn how to communicate more effectively via a mouse and a key board.....GET REAL YOU MORONS.
Anyway, back to my other pet topic of ridicule ( after the Visitors)........the FAAA.
Did you read the free kick MM gave his old pals from Chifley Finacial Services. What is the commission on this little endorsement boyz ????
Speaking of free kicks............guess where some of our Qantas Board (including Jimmy Bowtie and Il Duce) are at the moment. You guessed it -MUNICH. Must be some Airbus junket to attend to. Maybe they need to do a Lavatory inspection of the A-380 ????!!!! yeah right.
For them it should be:
"Ozzie, Ozzie Ozzie.
Oi..nk Oi....nk Oi....nk"

The Intregrity of the Brand

[quote=Wed Webbing Woop]Agree with you both Lurker and Leane.

Qantas cannot keep pretending to offer a full service premium in-flight experience while having it delivered by an offshore cabin crew who are already-in record time - reaching levels of disengagement similar to their Australian counterparts due to the poor salaries and conditions on offer from the company. (Some are so desperate they are even resorting to illegal smuggling. this does wonders for the international standing of Geoff's precious Brand.)
You can't have it both ways - something eventually gives ( as I pointed out with the use of Indian Call Centres -I'm this close to telling AmEx to shove their credit card if they put me on hold one more time in New Dehli)
Paying Joe Public is not that stupid - either the ticket price comes down in line with the obvious savings the company is making by hiring third world labour -or the punter will go to a no frills airline that doesn't make the pretentious inflight service claims that Qantas is so good at.

Again the FAAA has to start talking to Management & the Media about the Destruction of the Qantas Brand Integrity as a direct result of offshoring L/H f/a jobs.

John Cleese joins Qantas Senior Management

QUOTE -"I find it rather easy to portray a businessman. Being bland, rather cruel and incompetent comes naturally to me."

Mate - welcome onboard -you should fit into the Qantas team perfectly.

www That is great news that so many CSMs have put their hands up.
Easy come, easy go. Just think of the move for the rest of us. About time I say. Get some new people in to make the difference.

Is it true that the big guy ex Per, Smally has shot the gap from Mel. If so that is a sad day. One of the few that had a bit of an idea.
Lurker, did you not hear what happened to the last person who brought drugs into the country, mate you must be on some good stuff. Please leave it at home.
Leane7, you appear to have a lot of song on your lips. Be careful talking like that out on line, sounds like you have only been flying 5 mins.
cartexchange, who cares about your comments. The FAAA are doing a great job and I like 80% of us think so. You must be 1 of the 20%. Bad luck. Watch this space

As I said before , can one of the faaa and supporters mutual admiration club posting here or whoever is on the faaa roster list the wins the current faaa girls have made since they came into office.

I don't mean giving into the company either as an example of winning, the tech crew union is showing the way with court action against the company and has resulted in Darth writing to each tech crew an intimidating letter and Darth would not have reacted unless the court case had any effect. Our union's idea of winning is bending over ....

C'Mon faaa girls ,let us know what you are doing apart from telling ther company you think we are overpaid..................

As far as 80% of crew being pro faaa is a joke,I don't even think 2% let alone 20% would be happy with the performance of the faaa.

What survey of crew do you get your results by LL?
The crew on your 4 day LAX trips?
Gotta say if you were to survey crew on a London or Frankfurt I think you would find that a majority have no problem with the way the FAAA are running things.

Pathetic Twiggs but expected though.....

As I said whoever is on the faaa roster list the wins that the girls on the faaa have had but all you can do is ridicule...

By the way,I do LHR's as well as FRA's and NRT's and LA's and the crew are fairly unanimous in their condemnation of the 3 sisters and their handling of the company. However i suppose in the faaa bunker you have your own cheer squad

Still waiting for the wins that the girls have had....

Twiggs and the other faaa supporters mutual admiration club here is a challenge....Talking of surveys, how about a suggestion that the faaa girls conduct a survey to see the level of discontent and dis-engagement of crew towards their handling of the union....If you and the others in the faaa think crew are happy with you then have a survey

Cannot wait to hear the excuse on this one...........................................

LL,
I don't know what your obsession with "wins" is.
Did you know it is now much easier to give a trip away to another crew member due to efforts made by the FAAA?
This is just one thing that I found out recently.

How about you girls (LL et al) get your heads together and list the losses (or what you perceive to be losses) the FAAA has had and then we can see what your problem with the FAAA is.

And while we are on the subject of lists, please list what I have said on this thread that makes you think I'm pathetic.

FWIW I think that the FAAA are doing an admiral job given the industrial climate the howard government has created.

Much of the frustration we all feel about the offshore bases is in large part due to the ineptidude of the since departed three blind mice.

The FAAA are not the enemy and I know of no one individual or group better qualified [given their experience] to run our union.

Girls and Boys, Just to keep you all in the loop I have been around in this game as long as most of you put together. Yes I have seen them come and go.
To read the last post by Lurker almost makes me cry. He / she seems to think they can run a company the size of QF better. Have a good look at yourself sonny, you are a Flight Attendant for goodness sake. You have a good job and are paid plenty for it, get on with it or go and find yourself another job because we dont wont you here. Those at QF are sick and tired of all this bull . Go away, you make me sick

Whoa Lurker.......thats priddy tough on this poor pensioner !!!!
This thread is becoming very weird!
There are so many-union "plants"/company "plants" in here -I'm becoming giddy , almost need a World War 2 "code breaking" manual to interpret the posts.
Can we get back to the original game here, ie .......critically analysing/discussing Qantas management strategy and / or assessing FAAA performance ?

I've got a question for all you anti union girls.
Why does anyone who is happy with anything the union does, have to be a company plant or union plant?
Is it to justify your own warped reality that anyone with a different view would have to have an ulterior motive behind any such thinking?

Thumbs down another............ "role model" ?????

Just watching the Footy Show spectacular on Channel 9.
They opened the show to say that there was some altercation with Sam Newman in Munich.
Well when they rolled the video tape...............who should it be ?????:
A WELL KNOWN QF SYD BASED L/H F/A.
The lowest act of all -spitting on him , then calling him a f---kin idiot.
Some may say -Sam Newman deserves what he gets -but to spit ##$%$^$.
Wait till the Visitors roll the video tape tomorrow on this one.
I feel another Clause 11/TERMINATION coming on !!!!!!
Quick someone call the 3 Amigo's.
