Let he who is without sin...

Hey Bob

As it appears you’ve decided to set yourself up as a public commentator on others’ airmanship, I’m wondering if you could let us know:

- how many hours in command you’ve flown in the last 12 months; and

- what mistakes you’ve made during that flying.

I’m just trying to work out if your propensity to cast the first stone arises from saintliness or silliness.

I think I've figgerd out Bob's reasonably incomprehensibile post. Poor old ultralights has incurred his displeasure by daring to fly on the DAY OF INACTION without actually supporting... erm... whatever it was about. With all those wombats who haven't turned a prop in years flying about randomly being polite to controllers and REALLY making sure their transponders are working, somebody just flying about normally could have pushed the airspace system over the edge into flying gridlock.

Naughty boy

From our side of the screen, no effect, no noticeable increase in traffic. If this is worst loading GA can put upon the system, the C172 version of riding treadlies through the Domain tunnel, then ROADBLOCK airspace was well able to cope with your demands.

THERE IS NO PROBLEM, why keep trying solutions?

Fact! I was flying a Piper Archer! 4 souls on board!

Fact! a Flight plan WAS submitted!

Fact! NOTAMS reported "possible" Locust activity

Fact! flight was planned 2 months ago!

Fact! i have held a PPL for over 16 Yrs!

Fact! I have an RAA Licence! and am a current member of the RAA

Fact, i have NEVER been and dont plan on being a member of the AOPA

So i am in the fortunate position to see both sides of the argument.
as fas as NAS and NDA is concerned, i dont give a s**t as long as it get SORTED OUT! and not at a rediculous cost!

so before you go critising my airmanship, which i feel to be pretty profeesional for my 500 Hrs! tell us a bit about yourself!

sure this is a anonamous forum, but people that know me will recognise me on here as well. i have nothing to hide!

my cooment on the lack of knoledge about the NDA confirmed my feeling that the NDA is an issue here and with AOPA than anywhere else, as most people i talk to at the airfeilds i regularly visit are only interested in Flying and couldnt be bothered wasting time taslking about the NAS or the NDA just as i am going to stop wasting my time in response to you tobzalp Pull your head in mate and get a life outside your NAS dominated world!

Errr...Ultralight,

tobzalp was re-posting an entry from Bob Murphy on their site. I think everyone here has appreciated your balanced and neutraL posts. Putting it here was meant to highlight the go-for-the-throat mentality of certain people should their position be critisised or challenged.

Your anger is totally justified, but mis-directed.

my apolgies to tobzalp.

hmmmm i just discovered the post on agacf.org, interesting. aparently im anti AOPA! to put it simply, the AOPA doesnt interest me. and all i hear about around the traps is issues with board members or whatever. I am very happy with what the RAA (AUF) have done and have been doing for the past 5 yrs i have been a member and that is that.

some people are very touchy when you dont follow or 100% support their view.

as far as im concerned, all i want to do i fly! either my personal aircraft or hired aircraft capable of carrying my friends away on weekend trip to wherever it is we wish to go! as far as the NAS! i gave up long ago, too much BS, to confusing, and all it is doing is costing me money to constantly update charts and docs! (some i have never had the chance to use) refer to above! i just want to fly!

i have to laugh about the transponder incident! my Preflight is bad!!! BWHAHAHAHH how about i unscrew your transponder arial, insert a piece of painted masking tape, the EXACT diameter of the hole, and re-install the antenna! see if YOU find it!

This sort of Infighting is the EXACT reason we are having so much difficulty getting anything done.!!!!

time to stop as all comment or any whif of NAS or NDA whatever just causes yet more bickering.

time for a few circuits before last light! or will i get grilled for that as well! and yes, it will be in MY aircraft!

That's the beauty of this internet thing eh!, it allows oneself to plumb the depth of ones intelect for all to see. For some it is even difficult to get the soles of ones feet wet.

Accounts? If I thought Woomera would allow me the bandwidth, I would post them for all to see. Might have to set them up on a link to a web page instead, they have been trying to hide them for the last 8 months.
