From the above:

32.2.2 Larger Aircraft Rates
Pilots employed and engaged on Larger Aircraft operations will be paid the following minimum annual salary;

Captain- BAe-146 Fokker- 100 Boeing- 717 $97 600

32.2.3 Additions to salary base

ATPL - $3 275 per annum;
Turbo-jet aircraft $6 945 per annum;
Instrument rating (Command)$ 3 971 per annum.

Total = $111 791

I wonder how low our mates at NJS or Jetstar will go???

Hmmm,

6. WHO IS BOUND BY THIS AWARD?

The award is binding upon each of the employers and/or operators named in Appendix A; each pilot identified in 5.2, and the Australian Federation of Air Pilots.
Couldn't see NJS, National Jet Systems, Jetstar, or Jet Star, in appendix A.

'general aviation'

'5.2 This award relates to the industry of persons employed as pilots in any capacity whether full-time, part-time or casual in General Aviation excepting Helicopters and Aerial Agriculture operations.

I think the intention of 5.2 was to include employees in 'general aviation'' whether the employer is a signatory to the award or not. An EBA or otherwise cannot be lower than the award. The definition of general aviation or otherwise has always been a point of contention.

CC; Sounds like something that would come from management.

Not at all Orbitz. Followed the link to the award, had a quick peruse, looked at the appendix and couldn't see either company, so got the 'pooter to check, and, nada.

They wouldn/t actually be bound by the award if they have an EBA in place with the company that employs them.

The award is the minimum to be paid IF there is no other EBA.

Crazy though, if they have an EBA which is LESS than the award.
