QF A330 Tow Bar Wreck!
I noticed that the latest O/S configured 330 has been damaged in a towing incident. I guess thats what happens with a 767 tow bar. Crikey!!!

Kanga 767, DM's one of those people from 89 that has resurfaced in Australian Aviation as a well spring, but in fact he gets paid less now than what he was fighting for in 89, so, you wouldn't expect him to be well rounded enough to concede that mainline are better than his Jetstar bum chums.

Reverend old chap, had a go ad editing your pic but it seems that the site its on wont allow third party access.
I also have the pics we just need someone to host them. ???
Thanks for letting me know as the picture came up on my screen. Try this link, it should work. Sorry about the ads on top, can't get rid of them.

Quite right, Pete. DM, if QF were interested in 'worlds best practice', they wouldn't have given you fools at Jetclown jobs, now would they?
Now take your stupid worthless posts and shove them quietly where the sun doesnt shine.

quim and Pete,
Cut it out, this thread is about an inaproppriate towbar and a new aircraft, it is difficult to see the 89 connection.
It's just a crying shame to see something as beautiful as that dinged, before it gets to do its thing.

It was in June but the pictures only surfaced in the last couple of days. Very expensive but not nearly as bad as the retrofit bill for the conversion to intercontinental requirements. Well done QF bean counters.

Douglas Mcdonnell, FYI the QF B767 tow bars also fit the A330. Having had a tow bar pin shear on me while towing one of these beasts, I can tell you it's not a very good feeling. Everything sort of slows down but moves quickley at the same time & your unable to do anything except yell 'brakes on!' It's certainly not something I expected to happen on a lazy tow...
