You guys are off the ******* planet.
Oldmeadow is the following:
1. A nice person who I would have
for dinner.
2. Is smarter than all of you combined.
3. Actually stopped Ansett going out of business sooner.
- The commercial guys ****** Ansett and too many fleet types.
- The pilots and flight attendants we being paid more than QF.
- Also, the IR guy (Paul Birch) did that stupid deal with the unions well after Oldmeadow left that increase the rates well above Qantas.
4. Has actually stopped Qantas going out of business by not letting labour groups run wild with shareholder's funds.
When will you guys learn that your salary is a function of a profitable cost structure.

Grandpa Aerotart
But it's OK for Dixon etc to run wild with shareholder funds?
How about this for a plan...Dixon hands back all payrises over and above CPI since he started the job. After all he's just been doing the job he was paid for...like all the staff. The difference is their pay does not increase by double digit multiples of the CPI.
If and when QF is embroiled in industrial turmoil the blame will lie at the feet of management and shareholders.
