Everybody from the last course has been taken on..... just not by Origin ha ha.
Good on ya boys enjoy your fuller pockets.

Don Won, I very much doubt that much will result from the negotiations, the company say they are commited to a result but their actions have indicated otherwise. J41 co's are now 10K a year less off than their SAAB driving counterparts.

In fact 1900 co's actually (the ones iv'e talked to anyway) take home more a fortnight than a 41 pilot that has been a co for more than a year.

The current wave of resignations is the tip of the iceberg. Bout time that management tried to stem the flow.

The holy grail...............

I like my job and am not about to bag the company which got me out of GA and flying something decent.

Once appon a time EAG was the only option out of GA, ie there where bugger all if any direct entry jobs onto a SAAB. It just amazes me how quickly people forget that a while ago they would have been happy to go to EAG or anywhere just to get out of GA.

I can also assure you that I'm most deffinatly not the red haired chap you are thinking of.

DONT EVER FORGET WHERE YOU CAME FROM PEOPLE.

Back to the topic:

I thought that J41 crews where with contract air services??????????????

That shouldn't see there pay effected as they are not technically part of OPAL

I think that was just the ATR drivers that were with Conair, pretty sure J41 crews are employed by OPAL.

I doubt origin will have many 1500/250 applicants given that EAG are interviewing plenty down to 1000 TT or 100 multi.

Yes you are correct in saying that once appon a time EAG was the only place that would take you out of GA, however this has not been the case for sometime now as you should know.

Thier are still quite a few people around with higher time. ie over 1500tt and 400multi who havent applyed to EAG (mainly because thier are to many pepole like the little red man you are talking about that are working their) hence EAG are interviewing people with alot less time.

Cloud Clutter

As far as I am know the J41 guys in CH were employed by conair along with the ATR guys. The J41 guys in Nelson are employed by OPAL.

Cheers that clarifies the J41 thing.............I think.

Puinarny.

For the few around with interesting attitudes the rest are good buggers(bugeressessssss). Every company has people in it who are, shall we say twats but thats not how you should judge anything in life.

It pays to always look at the big picture!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok so tell me this. If the J31 fo is only working 3 duty days as suggested why run another ground course? Fom what i've heard in the past pilots were getting called in to work standby days before a course was run.

Shovel,

Because the schedule is about to change and the good times are not going to last long for the lads, arses will be worked shortly, there are also a few upgrades from the 31 to the 41 recently and if they don't watch it they will get caught short. Also 41 course shortly.
Let the fistings continue!

New schedule is'nt going to work the boys any harder, They can see alot of pilots with c.v's at ANZ so they are crewing to cover that as well as the upgrades. If ANZ are interveiwing 16 a month it would be fair to assume at least 3 or 4 will be from QO.

Don't think uncle Koru would have any problem taking the lads from Origin, at the end of the day a turboprob is a turboprob & the management in air nsn & eagle would be happier as big bro is not making them train fresh meat

New Schedule not going to work the boys any harder?

I'll reserve judgement untill it happens, in the meantime you will have to excuse me as I stand with my back firmly against the wall.

Don't know where you got that gem from?
More likely 6 a month if you divide 100 (pilots) by 18 (months).
Given a months off here and there for the recruiting chaps to rest..
So 8 an interview and 100 pilots to hire from Jun '04 to Dec '05.
I think there's an OP guy on the course at the moment..??
Just get the hours and gap it to Big Bro. ($$$)

BCF. Being a bit slower than the average bear i'm finding it hard to pick up what part of my "gem" you have a beef with, I was told by a chap who recently interveiwed with ANZ that ANZ are interveiwing 16 per month (2 lots of 8) As for ASSUMING it would be at least 3 to 4, well thats what it is, an assumption. I now about assumption so i'll save everyone the trouble of telling me what the mother of assumption is. 1 ex QO due is on the 737 course at the moment, good dude too.

Split - After seeing the way it's being crewed i'll have to agree with you. How did the launch go?

Expect J41 course within 1-2 months.
