From the information session that was run recently I believe the current online recruitment process contains two different sets of online testing from SHL and Domain.

Anyone pass the online SHL tests and have now been told about a series of new online tests? Seems to be different to the online virtual assessment day that others were given. New step??

I am in same boat as you asked to complete it by 17th. Bit nervous to click on the link as it says if you click it once then have to complete the whole module in 1 sitting. So I am taking my time for now.

Greetings guys, first post here. Was wondering how the application process goes for the "Expression of Interest" listing air services have on their website for air traffic control trainee?

Allyjay 13th Dec 2021 20:33

Hey guys.

Is there somewhere that outlines what's involved in obtaining a class 3 medical certificate? im nervous as ive put on a few covid kgs

Gavin Kukard 14th Dec 2021 09:31

Hey Allyjay,

Have you completed the online tests and received your feedback already?

I applied in the mid November run, and am busy with second round of assessments at the moment. 5 down, 2 to go.

When did you apply?

Cheers! Gav

DavidBall1884 15th Dec 2021 08:42

Has anyone done the online assessment virtually and can give me a heads up about what to expect?

Hey guys,

For those that did the application process for the mid-September cycle (@Corza is that you?), did some get offers to start in December (last week), and some in March?
I am just trying to gauge how long the process takes. I have done the second round of online assessments, cut off date was tomorrow the 17th. Hoping to figure out timeframes from here on. Anyone have a timeline of events?

@DavidBall1884, I have done them, but there is no way to accurately explain to you what to expect anyway. There is no way to give yourself an edge over other applicants either. Your brain is either going to function in that way or it isn't, and everything is against the clock.
I have no idea how I did. Its just a wait and see (and hope to high heaven) exercise now I guess.

I wish you well in the tests mate. Good luck!

I did the application process in the June/July cycle. I have already accepted my offer and waiting to start in the new year. :)

I would say a couple of days after you should hear back, but that being said we are close to Christmas and most Government organisations have a couple of weeks stand down for non frontline employees.

Gavin Kukard 16th Dec 2021 21:06

Ah thats great man, congrats!

@ Corza, thanks for the motivation earlier for not abandoning my application half way as i just completed my second phase of online testing. Any chance if you could tell what's the next step would be, if I make through this.

hey mate, just wondering how did you go with spatial assesment and were you able to complete the both cognitives one. As I am bit nervous could not do great on the former and could nt complete the later.
regards

Gavin Kukard 20th Dec 2021 00:09

Hey mate, spatial being the radar one with the flying numbers? I had quite a few collisions, mostly near the edges of the screen but yes I didn't save all of em.
As for the cognitive ones, I didn't finish either one. I think I managed to get most of the way through the first, and did 41 out of the 50 on the second. Not sure at all what the benchmark is here. My only hope is that all of us managed about the same.

Hey guys, just an update from me here.

Completed the online virtual assessment, now been asked for references. Looking good but not getting hopes up just yet. Will keep everyone updated - this will be for a March 2022 start.

DavidBall1884 22nd Dec 2021 02:48

I got an e-mail after the assessment center asking for references! Fingers crossed! Will update all.

Gavin Kukard 22nd Dec 2021 12:19

Hey David, were you part of the applications that closed on the 15th of Nov? And did they tell you it would be for a March start?

Gavin Kukard 22nd Dec 2021 12:20

Hey mate, got through. I did not get the March spots because I do not live and my preferences were not in the location they want people. So I got put into a "pool" and am currently waiting for a spot in the tower stream in my city. :)

Overall, good outcome. Did you hear back from yours?

Thats fantastic news! So you have an offer already? Also, did you do an interview at all?
