Question LXGB Questions

Just back from GIB (or Malaga actually.... a bit windy on "the Rock") and have a few questions:

1) Who provides ATC at GIB? SERCO? The MIL?

2) Is there any RADAR? Yes I know there are LOTS of them (and other things) up on the rock, but are any of them for ATC purposes?

3) I heard locally that should an a/c make a touch down and then go-around it cannot divert to Spain and HAS to go to Tangier. Any truth in this?

Just curious....

Yes, it is Serco under contract to RAF.

Yes, we have radar.

Yes, that is absolutely correct!

Talking

Wind dying down? In Gib? With its reputation?!...

Only kidding - brilliant place, love it and its people to bits and the sooner our government stops trying to get rid of it, the better
But that'll be for another thread on JB
