Atco Vacancies

Apart from the VT aerospace situation does anyone
know of any UK non area units that have vacancies
or will do so in the near future, as its getting rather
quite down hear.

My local Tescos are looking for 2 cleaners and a security guard.......

It seems that the majority of non NATS staffed airports have done the sensible thing and have been training up their own staff, (usually ATCAs), to be in place for impending retirements etc.
Additionally, SERCO have a rolling training scheme in place for existing and forthcoming projects.

At the remainder of units (like mine ), management resort to crisis management when they suddenly realise that 5 atcos will be retiring within the next 3 years, there is a severe shortage of experienced fully qualified atcos, and they haven't bothered to implement a local training scheme to compensate.

Keep an eye on the back pages of Flight in the future, and you'll understand.

Mick, any idea if HIAL would ever be interested in a homesick Area controller?

Would they pay for the re-training, do you know?

Question

Area to ADC/APC in H&I...........possible.

Expect a bit of a pay cut until training is complete, thereafter expect to join near the foot of the main scale..........
Might be too much too much to 'loose' for some.

Why not look at the web site, or call +352 258 if you are at a NATS location!

Thanks. Guess I'd better start clearing those bills.

Hope life up there in sunny Shneck is as sweet as ever.
