Global ATS is closing its Shoreham training facility in the middle of this year.

All courses scheduled to be held there are now going to be conducted at their other UK training centre based at Gloucester Airport - EGBJ.

The Gloucester facility underwent substantial development work during December last year to accommodate this which included 3 new classrooms; an extension to the student common room; a dedicated multi-cultural religious room; and additional toilets.

GlobalATS is ASTAC's rebrand. The college in Shoreham has always been for ICAO training only. The college based at Gloucester deals with all UK licence's (except obviously area control). I heard a rumour about plans to combine the colleges and move the entire operation to Gloucester, but with Shoreham only being moments away from Heathrow and Gatwick (in comparison to Gloucester) this would seem like a bit of a daft move when it comes to appeasing to foreign customers.

GLO-LHR = 1hr 44
SHOREHAM-LHR = 1 hr 15

As you say, moments away......

I was going to offer advice but is there any chance your friend could post on here? You appear to be a bit of an idiot.

2 sheds - tecknow's post wasn't live until at least 5pm yesterday, due to it being his first post.

ATCO91 made their post without having seen tecknow's first
