Question Approach Rating

Is it necessary to have Aerodrome rating to do an Approach rating in the UK?

Comments would be helpful, thanks.

I'm pretty sure that the answer is yes, but since you wouldn't be able to work any where with just an approach rating, pursuing the question is pretty pointless.
For a definitive answer contact John Dancer, Head of DEpartment, ATS Regulation, john dancer Tel: 01293 573424.
