LTCC VSL Question
Please pardon the intrusion but I have a quick question:
What functions do the '+', '-', 'ALL' and 'ADD' hotspots invoke?
Thanks for your time.

The plus and minus signs increases or decreases the number of levels shown in the VSL to the minimum/maximum values set for the stack/position. 'All' goes from whatever your showing at the time straight to the maximum number of levels set for the stack/position.
The 'add' button lets you insert traffic like overflights through the stack, that wouldn't ordinarily be populated into the VSL, into the VSL display.

Thanks for the quick reply Roffa.
Very interesting and much appreciated.
Sorry but still not completely clear:
If it is assumed that the BNN stack has a minimum of MSL and a maximum of FL150 then exactly what does '+' and '-' change?
If I press '-' then does it stop showing FL150; if I press it again does FL140 disappear?
If I press '+' does FL070 go away; if I press it again does FL080 disappear?
I hope you understand my questions; if not let me know and I'll try and re-phrase them in the morning

The VSL always shows a default set of levels, typically a couple of thousand feet below MSL up to FL140. I don't think you can decrease this set. The +\- keys add or subtract individual levels in addition to the default, up to the set maximum, which I think is FL200 (could be FL180 though ). The ALL button simply brings all the levels in to view, regardless of the current setting.

Yup, it always shows from the lowest level in the VSL upwards. The lowest level is fixed and will always be shown.
Looking at the pic at the top, if you clicked the minus button once FL160 would disappear. Click minus again and FL150 would disappear. Again and FL140 would go etc.
If FL140 was the top level showing, clicking plus once would show FL150. Click again and FL160 would come back. If FL160 was the top level set for that VSL then that's the maximum level you'd see. If higher levels were available clicking plus would show them, one at a time, until the top level was reached.
So the plus and minus increases or decreases the number of levels shown in the VSL, one at a time, and always from the top level showing at the time.
Does that make sense?
