Just got the invitation yesterday after a 2 month wait, good luck to all attending!

Second part of the radar test was multiple choice though. Number pad keys were to remove aircraft and the letter keys were selecting multiple choice answers to the maths questions

Just applied last night, and got the link to the practice tests - it directs me to the SHL website - are they still doing SHL testing?

Assessment Centre

Hi,

Has anyone who recently been to the assessment centre have any tips on what to expect? I hear there is a group assessment and then an interview? Is this similar to your experience? I also was asked to obtain a medical before my assessment centre day, anyone else had this? Feeling extra nervous now im towards the last steps of getting in!

The SHL testings are just practice, there is no offical SHL test

If they check your resume and want to give you a shot, you will receive an email of some online tests. These are challenging, but for good reason.

Then, if lucky, you will do an interrupt test over zoom - nice and fun but testing how well you can do two things at once.

Then I am in uncharted territory! you have a date to select an assessment centre and go from there! Good luck with your application!

That is interesting they asked you to do a medical beforehand. Did you get a call form Holly and express interest in the New Zealand tower course? Perhaps they want people considering that one to be ready to go, as it starts in May. If not than that seems odd to do the medical now.

Hmm... So the practice tests they give you are nothing like the actual tests? I only applied in the last week and a half, and i still am waiting for them to send me the tests

I’ll see you there. Would love to know everyone’s timeline of getting there cause mine felt quite short! I did the initial testing on 22/2. Interrupt test on 5/3 and now A/C for the 13/3. Cheers guys and goodluck!

I have done the domain test and the interrupt test and I may be able to help you rather than you wasting your time with the SHL test. DM me if you want.

I have already preferenced Tower as they are looking to run a tower course in NZ in May. They did a trial last year of outsourcing the training you can read about here. A few weeks ago, they asked current applicants waiting for an AC for expressions of interest in the NZ course, as it would be a short turnaround between the AC's and the start of the course.
