So finally sat and completed the online testing tonight. Anyone have any idea how long it took for Airservices to let them know whether they'd passed or failed?

I kept in contact with one person who's been very helpful. She quoted it took 5 weeks for Airservices to update her on the outcome...

Hoping to get some info from any ATCs whom are in the know...

What are the major differences in employee personalities between Tower and En Route, or are they more or less the same type of people?

Is Tower more suitable for more outgoing people, with great interpersonal skills and team work abilities.... and En Route better suited to people who can work more autonomously?

My assumptions may be way off though, so any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Testing

Hi all,

What we're people's thoughts on the testing? Anyone not yet completed it?

I completed the online testing and checked on Thursday night - my message had changed to something along the lines of "you have been invited to complete the OPQ testing". When I logged back in on Friday, it had changed back to "Under Review".
I think that maybe with the mix-up with the link and the extension from the Wednesday to the Thursday deadline that there might have been some issue in the internal system. Hoping that we hear something soon! Good luck everyone else

Hi folks,

I checked online, my application status went from 'Online Testing Completed - under review' to just 'Online Testing Completed'.

Anyone know if this is good, bad or nothing important?

Does your still say "under review"? I checked mine and it says "online testing completed". Whether this is any indication of passing, I do not know.

My one was never under review...it has been showing completed with a message saying..."you will be invited to the next stage of Opq's assessment in the next few weeks. Please ensure your email address is updated and correct."

no clues how long gotta wait though ..someone in this thread wrote 5 weeks 😂

Mine also says testing complete and when I view my application there is a message saying I'll be invited to compete the OPQ assessments within the next few weeks.
This is the same message that I saw on Thursday evening, so hopefully it is an indication of passing, guess we'll see via email.

Yep, mine actually says the same. Thanks for pointing that out. I am still not holding my breathe though, it might just be an automated message upon completion of the SHL tests. Fingers crossed

Thanks for pointing that out to us. Mine actually states the same thing when I go into it.

My previous application from some years ago states 'Application Outcome', when I view application for that one it states something about reviewing the email they sent me.

I am quietly confident it is a good sign. Airservices recruitment seem pretty on the ball with the whole process and maintaining records and if you read the comment it seems pretty clear (verbal reasoning anyone?). Is there anyone on here that has applied who can see something different?

So I did a search on this thread and found the following post:

24/2 Invitation for online testing
I sat the test about a week later
7/3 Invitation to OPQ online test
15/3 Invitation to book phone interview
30/3 Phone interview
4/4 Notification of waiting list for assessment centre day
12/4 Invitation to book assessment centre day
27/5 Assessment centre day at Tullamarine
6/6 Notice to update referee details
30/6 One referee was contacted

Radio silence

19/8 Phone call with verbal offer for a course starting in January 2017

Good luck to everyone going through the process! I hope this helps. Don't worry too much if you don't hear anything from ASA for a while!

Thanks but did they just take out the phone interview stage? Or is it still there. Their website doesn't mention anything about the phone interview.

Yeah, I have wondered the same. Hopefully they've taken the phone interview out, this will no doubt shorten the process for us.

They definitely removed the phone interview for the last few rounds of recruitment (instead they had an in person interview on the assessment day in Melbourne).

Assessment Centre

No email, but I received a call, brief phone interview and off to the assessment centre at the end of the month. How did everyone else go?

Was the call from a private number out of curiosity?

When did you sit the online test? Did you complete the OPQ?
