From my POV I didn't think sunnySA said anything that appeared demeaning.. I read it as genuine advice. As in, don't stress about timelines as there are any number of reasons why information may be taking longer to be dispersed.
For the record when I went through the process (5-6 years ago) it took 18-24 months from application to offer. Patience is the key..

My name is Porter- what gives him the right (or anyone else) to talk down to us then? We're all only trying to help each other out on the topic at hand, which is (in case anyone forgot) our recruitment process.

The ones offering you good advice are the ones already working as ATC's. If you want to be dumb enough to have a crack at them before you have skin in the game, fill yer boots. They're going to be the ones terminating your training.

Brisbane is great, Especially after the win we had last night.
I have my assessment coming day coming up soon and a little bit worried about the maths side of things. I have study pretty hard and can do a lot of it mentally, I just don't know what to expect on the day. Can anyone give me a bit of insight to put my mind at ease?

Thank you for the advice. I'm looking forward to the testing as it seems like a bit of fun. If I get selected, i'm looking forward to the college and study.
Best of luck to everyone who is going through the same process.

For those who have attended an assessment day, we were specifically asked not to talk about what the day entails. It would probably be better if the discussion stays general without mentioning what the tests are.

Has anyone heard about the process for their Class III Medicals? I know I can go out and get one done by a DAME, but should I be expecting correspondence from ASA beforehand?

Don't worry about the medical until you're asked to get it. You'll get a detailed email with instructions of exactly what they want you to get, and where you should get it from. The medical's quite expensive (around $500 minimum), so don't get one until you're asked to do so.
