LOC 16 into ZRH

Guys,

Does anyone know what has changed on RWY 16 into ZRH over the last few months. Thing is, I recently did a sim with old charts (airlines cutting costs??) but an up-to-date database, and found myself consistently low on approach.

Wasn't the 16 ILS off line recently for a while? Perhaps a new ILS has been installed? The calibrator King Air was certainly in ZRH a few weeks ago so perhaps something could be drawn from that!

Mr. Geezer,

Already found the answer. The DME of the ILS has changed, reading 0.2D at the threshold now instead of 0.0D as it used to be. I suspect the sim still has the old location of the DME programmed, so when flying the new approach, we will start descent 0.2D too early, and be too low for the remainder of the exercise.

Thanks for your reply.

Thanks for that.

Interesting to know that it now reads 0.2D at the threshold! Not that 16 is used very often but nonetheless very handy to know!

Thanks!
