Question Atco Medicals-Vision

Is there anyone out there who has Amblyopia and holds a CAA Class 1 medical?
Or has Anisometropia, a difference of correction between eyes of more than 2 dioptres?

If your question really is: "Will I get or continue to hold a class one medical?", give the CAA Medical Branch a ring, they know far more about these things than anyone on this site.

It may not be what you want to hear but at least you'll be out of your misery, (or happy).

FWIW, I have anisometropia of exactly 2 dioptres, bang on the limit, and they let me through the Class One initial (Twice - JAA and UK!)

I think the fact that I have a relatively low prescription and my eyesight corrects to better than 6/6 with no other problems helps.

Luckily it is now allowed to go to 3 before it will cause me renewal problems.
