Watson Watt

The first British experiment with a system that was to become known as radar was carried out today (Feb., 26) in 1935 under the supervision of Scots scientist Robert Watson Watt. Watt, a descendent of the great James Watt, soon had a working version of the detection device covering practically all of the British Isles.
