Good to know, I might give it a go then, but when I asked them they said the new policy applied for everyone regardless the date you last applied... Bit confusing.
Good luck anyway!

Hi guys. I'm starting my application for ATCO training tonight and I'm a little confused as I can't find the application form!
Im on a page which has options to fill in your work experience and education so I've done this and added a cover letter. I also have the option of adding a CV. If this is what I'm supposed to do then that's fine, but I was expecting something a little different.
I'm assuming every applicant at least gets the chance to take the initial online assessments so I was under the impression that things like CVs and cover letters wouldn't be necessary, and I would just have to fill in an online form to make sure I meet the requirements.
This is what I can see when i log into the careers section:
Of course I'm probably completely wrong about this and just overthinking it, but I just want to be sure that I'm doing this right!
Thanks
Joe

Joe,
If you search listings and click on trainee air traffic control it will take you to the right page.
From there you fill in your CV on the Nats forms. You cannot email one you have compiled already. It takes a littlectime but it is the only way they will accept your application.
Good luck,
Jof

Rookie here... :)
Alright, new one here joining in this conversation.
Just did my Stage 0 online test, waiting to find out how it went. Worst for me was the verbal, ended up in trouble with the time allowed and just guessed the last one before time ended. Numerical and error was able to finish them all, am quite confident especially with the error checking.
Any ideas what's the passing limit with these updated tests??
Hopefully we'll get a proper conversation going in here with these new and updated tests...what in what Stage now compared to the old ones.
Not looking for the answers though, don't get me wrong, just wanting to hear how people have experienced those tests.
Good luck all of you, anyone here who's currently in college?? Would love to hear from your experiences?
EDIT: Took off the question about how long it takes to get the info after Stage 0...for me it took roughly 1 hour. And I'm through to Stage 1, yaayy.
Now of to do some prep for those diagrammatical and spatial reasoning ones which will be next in line.

Stage 2
Apparently they haven't scheduled any Stage 2 dates in a while. I'm also joining in to wait for the dates. I don't even wanna think about how many people are now "lining up"...

Just adding my 2 pence worth. Also in the same boat as most as i have completed both stage 0 and 1 online assessments some time ago now. What do people think the chances are that there aren't currently enough of us on the waiting list for the assessment days? And before I get boo'd out of the forum my thinking is this - they have recently changed the re-application time from 12 to 24 months so all those who thought they could try again, and obviously capable of getting over the first 2 hurdles, aren't in the pool. Don't know but it would be interesting to know what percentage of applicants have had more than 1 try previously, and looking at the ATC application process PDF normally about 1700 go for stage 2 assessments. Seems a lot.
Still, suppose it gives us ages to prep for it.

I suspect it's more to do with company need.
The EU are forcing cost cutting, there is a surplus of current ATCOs, some contracts are due for renewed and may be under threat and the head count at the college is being scaled back.
Not to mention the recent VR programme across the regulated side of the company.

True.
I remember reading somewhere that with current cuts and ATC turnover they probably wouldn't need any validated ATCs untill 2017. Meaning early to mid 2014 to start training, which doesn't seem remotely likely right now. I'm sure that when it does happen though it will be a case of blink and you miss it.

Hey there,
I sent an email back in September asking about the dates of stage 2, and the answer i get was this :
"Hi Goncalo
Thank you for your email
We are currently not holding any Stage 2 Assessment centres until September 2014. Once we are in a position to release new dates we will send an invitation to all candidates currently waiting to take the assessment.
Kind regards
Kirsty
NATS"
So it means that we are going to wait a while longer...

So, I applied for the position of TATC yesterday, and received an email with a link for the 1st of 2 online assessments, and completed it this morning. Does anyone know how long it will be before the 2nd online assessment link comes through? Or is it a case of, it should be immediate, so you haven't got through?
Thank you
And, September '14? That seems like a hellishly long wait for just an assessment, does it not?
Thank you

I received my e-mail today inviting me to a Stage 2 Assessment. Gives details about the format of the day, and a link to book a date. All the dates are in January, starting a week from today (7th). About 7 dates in total I think. Comes with a 24 page document that needs to be revised (They stress this a lot). Hope other people have got an e-mail!

This is very good news people.
@eye - Are there dates only in January? What happens if you can't make it at the available dates? Anyone knows?

Hello everyone
Yesterday I've done my Stage 1 assessment and today I've received an email with invitation to attend the stage 2 Computer Tests.
In fact, I won't attend this stage because I've already passed FEAST and DART last year, so hopely see you soon in stage 3!
Like the preeceding speaker I hope other people already has got an assessment date
