Seriously, what's the thing with skytest?
Stage 2 is designed for you to come in without knowing anything about the tests. I wouldn't be at all suprised if the test score takes into account how much you learn during the tests so they know if you are able to learn quickly.
If you really want to practice for stage 2, play some tetris. It won't help you a bit on the day but it'll keep you busy and it's good fun. Then get a good night's sleep and do your best, if you have what it takes and do your very best that should be enough.

Hey guys,
I have my stage one on the 21st too at 11:30.
Does anyone know if we have to learn the seat capacities and speeds etc of the aircraft listed at the end of the document?
And has anyone noticed how out of date the document actually is

If you want to get focused I suggest using one of the many flash-games available instead of spending money on skytest.
Tetris is a good example, you need to think quickly and stay focused.
Here's another example: Play Multitask, a free online game on Kongregate
If you want to use skytest then fine, do so. But I sometimes feel a lot of people on here try to cheat the system rather than to trust their instinct and practice the obvious things. If you want to try and get more focused then by all means practice but use one of the many simple means available. Spending money and time on a practice software to try and pass a test that is not meant to be practiced is in my eyes the wrong way to go about this process. Work with the system instead of trying to work around it.
Just my thoughts, which will most likely upset some people, but that's how I see it anyway.

True, then again I start with you so not using it worked for me. But as with all of these forums we will have different opinions and by the end of the day everyone applying have to make up their own mind about how they prepare and what's best for them. Once at the college it seems we're all going to have to work very hard regardless of our background.

You can practise to pass the assessment of your core abilities, but I'd you don't actually have the required skills and attributes the chances of getting through a ratings course and a unit validation are slim.
In fact, even if you possess the ideal skills and attributes its a tough, tough thing to do and many who start a ratings course never get to see solo operational duty.

@Hanno1: SkyTest is really good, it teaches you to multitask even in real life situations, not just ATC. The software technical support is really good as well. I used it to practice cubes for Stage 1 and it helped me a lot. When's your Stage 2? I'm on Friday.

Hi all, some of you may be aware I have been waiting for my Stage 3 result for some time now. Unfortunately, I was not successful this time around, but seeing as I started applying in 2010, I can re-apply today, and that is exactly what I shall be doing!
Good luck to those awaiting results from their own most recent stages.

Stage 1 this week!
Hi everyone, doing Stage 1 this Weds so been hard at it with the revision. Probably jumping the gun asking this as I've not had chance to search the forums properly yet
, but if anyone can enlighten me regarding what can be expected on the numeracy test that would be really useful and appreciated. Some of the practice tests on the SHL site seemed quite deep in terms of examples so really wondering what I might be in for.
Good luck everyone doing their tests this week too!!
