Sorry to hear that GTA, you came across as a really cool guy on the day and it would have been really nice to have you on the course. Anyway I'm sure you have it in you to find success whatever you choose to do next, all the best!

I see, is that one foreigner full stop or just one foreigner per country and course max? I can see how 3 spaniards one course can cause trouble (since there would be plenty of opportunities to speak spanish) but having for example one german and one french on the same course shouldn't do a difference since their only common language is most likely english.

yeah man, you're right. Only 1 foreigner per country in the same course, with no limit if coming from different countries where the first language is not the same or similar.

I agree with the language "quotas", although I think it would be better to establish rules instead. Hopefully HR won't find Spanish close to Portuguese, since I speak English with all of my Spanish friends (it would be impossible to communicate otherwise). I've been abroad with Portuguese/Spanish groups and we always spoke English. Does anyone know if there are any Portuguese on hold?

For everyone who is waiting for course 232, we have a small (very small) facebook group. Search for "'NATS Course 232" to find us! Would be good to say hello before the pre-induction

Getting ready to travel down to RAF Fairford tomorrow as well as I'm volunteering at RIAT but they're kindly letting me have Thursday off for the pre-induction so I look forward to seeing people there.

Hi guys, I saw that new applications are now open, I am just wondering that how long after the initial application submission should i receive the link to the online aptitude tests?

it'll vary, based on how busy they are. It can be pretty quick, within a day or two, or it has been reported to sometimes take a lot longer.
I'd expect them to be pretty busy at the moment having just reopened applications...

Latest post on facebook say they will run a course in October. They also say they have places open so for people just applying you seem to have a chance of fast tracking through the process now should you be intrested in that.

Just seen that the applications have re-opened and am hoping somebody can give some insight into what on earth the Skills section is about? It's got things like baking on there...now, I make a good cupcake but does that make me a Practitioner? Aware? What are they looking for in that part?

Logged back on here on a whim only to see the appliccation process has opened again to my surprise! I still have an application in limbo from over 13 months ago so I will be ringing them in the morning to see what the situation is. Whether I need to re-apply or if they'll send me a date (like they said they would).
