Inbounds into EIDW - what freq?

Hello

I can track departures out of EIDW on 129.175Mhz and then 129.375Mhz on UL149.

However, I am trying to locate frequency for aircraft over Wales entering Irish airspace via UN14, UM17 and UL18. I have tried 133.6 and 135.255 but I don't seem to get them switching frequency to 129.175. I hear them loud and clear when they check in on 129.175, so I know range is not an issue.

Does anyone know?

You would seem to be a spotter as otherwise you would know where and how to obtain this information. With this in mind, I think you need to read this thread.

I am actually working towards a PPL and wouldn't deem myself a 'spotter'. No I don't know where to get the information from or I wouldn't have asked.

ACARS, sorry I didn't notice your location, the law may be different over there so I suggest you ask your FI. He or she should be able to point you in the right direction. I don't know what the equivalent Irish publication is called but there will be one similar to that published by the CAA.

Shannon change their sector frequencies quiet often during the day. They have about 6 or 7 which are regularily used for aircraft leaving the UK FIR at STU.

To the east of the boundary at STU the aircraft are on 129.375 below FL335 and 135.255 when the above. If the aircraft is routeing GATRA-EVRIN-BUNED then they will be coming from 132.950. Finally if UL18 is open, 133.6 is normally the frquency but sometimes it's also 135.255.

To the west of the boundary, Shannon use the following frquencies:

131.150
132.150
135.6
amongst others

Dublin are on 129.175 and 124.650. Don't forget that Dublin only controls below FL245, so you may get aircraft going to DUB but calling Shannon

Hope this helps

Also, Dublin traffic coming from the east (Wallasey) direction will be working London or Manchester - try 132.860 and 135.580 for London and 118.775, 128.050 or 133.050 for Manchester.

Carbide Finger (funny name by the way) and Liffey 1M

Thanks for sharing the information with me. 132.95 is the only one I haven't tried. I will give it a go.
