Question Today's the Day

Just got a nice card from TAG saying today's the day!
Nice gesture, but was it today when I got it?
Whenever it was posted ( no postmark on envelope )? Yesterday, if my post was delayed ? Or tomorrow when some of you get yours?

There seems to be a mistake - mine didn't have a cheque in it.

I got my card this morning, and I'm still trying to work out what it actually says!!! Nicely written, but PLEASE can we have communications in English?

..."Today is the first day of a new era of co-operation and partnership between NATS, the Airline Group and the Government"

Yes, I know what that means, but couldn't they have just written
"PPP has gone through, welcome to the new NATS"
or words to that effect? The email at work is much more to the point[*]null

Cool

Dear Mr Everitt,
Thank you very much for the lovely card. It really was super, the best way to throw money away I've seen for ages!

The story inside was quite interesting, but if you're going to compete with Enid Blyton or Roald Dahl, then you ought to include a talking fox or some pixies.

I do hope this isn't TAG's much vaunted corporate communications. Tell everybody something, no matter how meaningless, and get a nice tick in the box on your appraisal for communications skills.
Still, nice to see money being spent on such a worthwhile cause now we've all got financial targets to aim at.

Perhaps next we could have a daily newsletter telling us how well we're all doing, how many movement records have been broken, how we're coping very well with a difficult and entirely surpring lack of staff, and how much we're not going to get rewarded for it all.

I live in Hope!!

P.S. Good job this drivel didn't come through internal mail, costing the company manhours to deliver. Much better to 'outsource' to a specialist company that's bound to be cheaper!

So much for the investment that has been promised then. Rumour has it that the Capex will be cut by a third.
3 million movements by 2010 using off the shelf systems whilst spending less money than the company has done in the past! Hmmm.....time will tell.

"cleared FOR take off" is, according to MATS part 1, the correct phraseology.

Or maybe leaving out the "of" in each case has saved them a fortune in printers ink.

?

....priority must be to make sure Swanwick opens in January
No mention of which year though.

If this is case than can we forget the movement rate at LATCC and get everyone down at NERC doing some meaningful training, regardless of how this affects LATCC? No? I thought not. You can't have your cake and eat it Richard. Despite what you've been told there are not enough staff to do both, honest guv

Read the Press Release on the NATS website.
We don't just get a card from Dickie, we
get £500 worth of shares, oh and EVERYBODY gets another £500 in January. Don't forget we
also have a special party in December.
Oh dear, ORO says I can't have the time off, but I can have a party in lieu at some time in the future.
Any suggestions on how to show our appreciation?
