Manc ATC contract

Heard a rumour the other day that there is only two years to run on the manch tower and approach radar contract with NATS and Manchester Airport are looking to do their own ATC in the very near future ( as they must do at their other airports NX,NJ,HH.
Anyone know anything????

Bro,
I think that the TWR/APC contract ends in'06/07 [ish].
The "rumour" is that The Sub Centre goes to either NERC or MacNERC in the next couple of years, but I'm not holding my breath.
we aim to please, it keeps the cleaners happy

Present contract ends March 2003.
Early stages of negotiations under way for next one. We wait and see...

And before PPP Manch Ltd would not have been able to seduce enough controllers to work directly for them (remember Glasgow??).

Now ??? who knows.....
