Question Question regarding UK altitude bust

A coworker busted an assigned altitude by 500 ft. coming out of Luton on Monday (it was not me). The ATCO asked for his registration.. .. .What happens next?

You vill be shot - and your mate!! No.. the matter will probably be investigated with reference to play-back of the R/T and radar tapes (yes, everything is recorded at LTCC). The opeator will be contacted and reasons sought. Nobody get any bother - we all make mistakes, including autopilots, and the investigation is to amass information leading to finding reasons and how to prevent them recurring.
