No 1 - I know a good method for keeping your forthcoming arrival clean! Leave it in a snowdrift overnight then get it dragged out - all that salt and mud get left behind and you get a shiny "Pass" certificate

Adge-Were you by any chance on 30 ATCO Cadet Course ? Forgive me for asking this on a bulletin board but I did try to E mail you and the message was bounced due to account being inactive. The "interests" listed in your profile don't seem to have changed over the years, if I have got the right chap, that is!

Hi Marking...
It might be sold - just have to lay my old man's car sales chat on one of our colleagues! Anyway, it's only when you reach my advanced years can you afford the insurance on something faster!
And hello Dad...
Thanks for the advice, although like most of us I'm hoping to have seen the last of the white stuff at ISZ for this winter (unless the Spirit of Common Sense can sort out the braking action thing! ).

Sorry, I started a good 80 courses later, and due to a bit of a cock up on my part, finished 81 behind you.
From your username I take it you work 'alongside' a particular sector up here?

Sorry Adge...I was barking up the wrong tree (again)!. .No,I'm no longer involved in aviation.I was an ATCA at EGLL many years ago,and although being selected for a Cadetship, failed to make the grade. As it has turned out,a couple of health problems would probably have meant loss of licence.Perhaps these things happen for a purpose.Sorry if the "call sign" confused the issue.I chose it simply because I only fly now as a fare paying passenger and I'm English. It was second choice-I had wanted "Pax Britannica" but it was already in use.I still follow Aviation events as my presence here testifies despite my career disappointments. Thanks for responding..... .P A

Just thought that I would prove that URNo1 isn't the only ISZ ATCO capable of posting on PPrune whilst being out of the country. Or, as Mrs Odi just put it "being a sad bar steward". Or something along those lines! So here I am in sunny Bergen in a cyber cafe drinking undrinkable coffee replying to the ISZ regulars. Mrs Odi wanted to know why we couldn't live here. So i pointed out that there was no need to move to a cold, wet country where we couldn't speak the language as we already lived in a cold, wet country where we couldn't speak the language!
See you next cycle (maybe)

Well, someone seems to know the ID of atcomarkingtime, or should that be atcobarkingmad?
I was not far from removing this thread altogether, but the need for that seems to have subsided somewhat.
Good
Let's all get back to having a pop at each other
No 1,- never raced or rallied? you're havin' a larf aren't ya?

You know it is a sad state of affairs when colleagues start disclosing PPRuNE identites to unit managers. Not saying I agree with what was posted here but come on guys......thre are some folks who post on here that do not wish to be identified. Are the thought police cracking down on that liberty too?
Fluffy has it right. Fortunately the post had been edited by the time I got here. Anyone naming a PPRuNer without their express permission, or naming an individual whose name is not in the public domain is liable to be sent to Captain PPRuNe's office for tea and biccies from now on.
And to remove some temptation, this thread is now closed.
