Question NATS private Forum?

Any takers? Is there any interest in having a private forum for NATS staff like the airline forums....just curious, the boss says we can have one if we want.
All those in favour say aye, against say Nay

Is that so you can segregate yourselves from all the other CAA licenced controllers? - as it would seem that you all already try to do.

Roll on PPP you will all be back in here soon, as you all look for new jobs.

Landafterthe..

The airlines have their private forums yet Rumours & News is still extremely busy, sometimes there is need to discuss company matters not relevant to everyone...bitter are we?

Mr Chips...

Excellent idea, as long as we can stay anonymous from management!

Sounds like a great idea to me !! perhaps the chance to have a sensible discussion about the way things are going in NATS without the pitiful whingeing of LANDAFTER yadda yadda would be a great idea !.Is it just me or does he sound a little bitter ??

Not bitter..... but just a bit fed up with all the whinging post that we all read, day in day out, obviously from the NATS contingent. So maybe a private forum MIGHT be best for you all.... sometimes you guy/gals don't realise how good you have got it at the moment. Having never worked for NATS myself (I'm not a bitter failed cadet) just a controller who loves avition and enjoys his work, even though I'm paid probably less than half than most ATCO3 's , I still enjoy the work and gain great satisfaction/pride in what I do.

Your breathren down under tried this on another bulletin board and it ended up a complete failure. Probably because we don't have enough controllers interested in this sort of thing and the ones that were interested were so paranoid that it was really a management plot to weed out the trouble makers, that they didn't bother. The main sticking point was verifying users. One of the important things for me about this forum is that I can get those things off my chest about management without fear of recrimination.

Have a look at the following link for some of the discussion

There's always the option of having a forum on the GATCO web site?

LANDAFTERTHEWOT

No offence intended, its just that you complain about the NATS lot attitude, yet on the "Two Ratings Policy" thread currently running, you seemed a little bitter at not getting through the Heathrow assessment, so you obviously wanted to work with us. Just smacks of sour grapes that's all.

Excellent idea Mr Chips. Here, Here.

We can all do LandAfterTheTwat a big favour and take our whingeing to somewhere where we can all whinge to our hearts content.

I look to being participative!

A GOOD IDEA ...

*BUT*....

People NOT in NATS would not be able to find anything out!

Eg., People with interviews for NATS can find things out on this network!

If a private forum was introduced, NATS employees would not use "ATC Issues" to post info. or have conversations/polls etc.; rather the private forum.

This is a drawback. Be considerate to your (perhaps) future workmates!!! Allow them to have access to what you think!

*Dont shout at me for saying this!!!* -haha

Mark.
