Talking BHX ATC-STILL SUPERB!

I just thourght I would post a wee article on the standard of ATC at Birmingham.
For the last 15 years I have been operating in and out of Birmingham and also from East Midlands.Frequently flights may involve transitting BHX CTA at HONILEY,Landing at BHX or generally requesting a service from them.

A case in point was last week when arriving at brum in an a/c that even at max power only manages 130kts down the slope. At the time I arrived I was number 7 in the pattern behind B737,B757,BA46 and E-145 a/c and ahead of a further stream of inbounds. They handled the traffic superbly, only a small hold required, efficiently and obviously had a good understanding of a/c performance. It has always been an absolute pleasure to fly into BHX and their level of service never ceases to amaze me.So,keep up the sterling work Ladies and Gents.

Cheers AUTOTHROTTLE
