A Quick Question

Dear All
Please don't take this the wrong way, but as a trainee pilot I am fast begining to realise that I will be more lucky than a lucky thing to get a sponsorship at my age (33). So looking for career opportunities within the sharp end of aviation, could any of you ATC guys tell me how you go about training.
I understand that there are asisstant jobs as well. What are the option open to me?

Thanks

sadly i think you may have passed the age cut off for nats - it may have changed but i think its 28 or 29 - but not sure
you could check that by contacting nats - check out the web site for the details
or you could pay for it your self - but that can be rather pricy
best of luck though

How far into the pilot training are you - i believe that CTC McAlpine are looking at self funded CPL's

But to be the bearer of bad news your too old at 27 for most sponsorship CPL courses! i should know i'm 29 and can't get in!

NATS i believe is 30 unless you've prior experience in an aviation background (hence the first question!)

Not too sure about the cost for self funding the ATCO route but i think your looking in the region of 30K!

Read this or here link

Hope that helps!
