According to the flyer sent with the ballot forms the final day is today. Does anyone know if thats a midday closure as usual, and how long before the results are in?
Cheers

I originally thought it was the 8th, but reading the bumf they send it says the 5th, did this change with the slight delay following the restructuring complaints???
If it is noon on Monday how long does it take to count? Will we know by Monday close of play or will it be Tuesday?
Cheers once again

Vote against it? What's wrong with you all? Are you really going to vote against it just because someone is getting more than you?
I never realised that ATCOs are such a bunch of small minded bigots. Yes, band 5 might get the most but EVERYONE gets more than inflation. A lot more.
And be pragmatic - if someone gets more then eventually the rest of us can call for some parity. That way the big raise can, over a period of time, bring everybody's wage up.
Once again, this is a show of exactly how stupid ATCOs are. And all those Manc and Scot ATCOs going on about how hard done to they are - clear off. You're annoying the rest of us. If we lose the deal it will be YOUR fault and then NO ATCO will get any money.
Hope you're happy.

why should it be Manchs and Scottishes fault if YOU dont get your money.I thought we lived in a democracy where the majority won a ballot, either way the vote goes

Here we go again...
Point Seven:
No. We have voted against it because we do not agree with the process that has brought about the proposed figures.
I prefer to see it as some ATCOs having principals.
Yes, and when we have it those who got more will be demanding restoration of the differential, plus a bit more.
Now that is VERY constructive, isn't it. What was it you said about 'small minded bigots'? Anyway, I know that not all my colleagues 'down south' are quite so small minded as yourself and can at least understand our objections, even if they themselves are in favour of the deal.

If this vote is lost (and I hope to God it won't be) where does it leave us ?
I'll tell you, shall I ??
With a management imposed pay deal and working pratcises that will be FAR worse anything anyone could have imagined.

Nogbad,
What we are voting on is a management imposed pay deal.
If it doesn't go through, then we'll end up back at the negotiating table and maybe this time we can get it right for ALL ATCOs

Why would NATS feel they have to re-negotiate?-I suspect if what's on the table isn't enough then they will impose working practice changes within the present agreement,as they could do. That will mean more c**p rosters for us all and nothing extra in our pockets for it.
Let's all just hope this gets voted in and at least secure the excellent financial reward for us all which has been negotiated.
If it doesn't and you still have a fairly easy time EG/night staffing wise then I would be pretty concerned.

We wait with baited breath!
A certain bod in NATS "Department of getting new contracts" gave a very heavy hint that if the pay negotiations et al were favourable to NATS, the bid they were about to make for the contract to run ATC at a certain UK regional airport, would be very favourable and competitive compared with Serco.

You mention egs and night shift manning. Airfield staff ,egs if you are lucky, night shifts, we work both of them as we are rostered and PAYED to do.Somebody from Swannick, on previous postings, was complaining that under the new agreement he would have to work both nights. Lifes abitch aint it, welcome to the real world of ATC

point seven just read the rationale in the 41 pages of the previous thread
pay
and you you will see there is not a majority view about who gets more. There is a very strong feeling about how the structure has been constructed for future use.

Anyone any news yet on the result of the ballot? Have we found out when it is?
Are they applying "a model" to it where South coast Units have there votes multiplied by 3 and everyone else have their votes divided by 10 incorporating the complexity value at dx/dy of (Sth = 10x (busier) than Nth -5) ?
