A friend tells me there was an article in one of the Irish papers recently stating that 'GO' may start operations in Ireland. Any 'GO' guys/girls heard anything. Any news of the sale yet!

The talk on the Irish Aviation Website is that it is more likely to be easyjet rather than GO who start a new service to Dublin.

During a job interview at GO an irish pilot was told not to sell yet his house in Dublin and move to Stansted, as they have plans to establish an Irish operation taking the competition into Ryanair's own backyard.

Go looked very closely last year at operating EGGW-EIDW in direct competition with Ryanair.

Maybe TBI who now operate EGGW heve been in discussion with Go?

Is it just me or is there not an article about this in this weeks Flight International (29th May - 4th June page 12).

The article talks about Go's new Bristol operations and the new mini-hub at Belfast Int. Go are now operating Belfast to EDI and GLA twice a day using a BAe 146.

Or are we talking about a Dublin hub??

Read an article in the Irish Independent ( 31 May) saying that both Easy AND Go were in "advanced negotiations" with regard to starting operations out of Ireland. It stated Dublin and / or Shannon as possible airports and Noel Hanlon of Aer Rianta said he expected an announcement to be made in the next "2-3 weeks".
If it is true it would be EZY's first new destination in about two years (at least), so it's about time we did a bit of flag - planting!!

Go are reported on another newsgroup as applying for an Edinburgh and / or Glasgow to Dublin service.

Excellent if somebody would use Ryan Air s own medicine, and play with them in their own backyard.

Doesn't everyone know that FR and Easy have a no-competition clause <G>
