Any help appreciated:

About to do a 767 course, but of course I feel that I want to go above the minimum standard that the company will provide.

In doing so, I am searching for any 767 200/300 notes/technical info that may be available, any hints to stop myself from embarasments etc, or if anyone knows of any PC computer programs for sim stuff or training courses would be much appreciated.

Once did a course on the 747-400 on an interactive PC (...supplied by Tirox I think...) which was great. Is there such a thing for the 767??? Or is there any web sites or programs for 767 quiz material etc.??

Any help is appreciated.

Hi Dangling - go to www.wilcopub.com (http://www.wilcopub.com) - they have or are just about to bring out a dedicated full blown 767 sim, and you can download the manual to it - it looks pretty smart and will give you a good insight to all the major procedures. It takes a while to download, and forever to print unless you have a laserjet, but if its a 767-200 sim you are after, these are your people.

Id be interested to hear how you get on with it if you but it..........

DD - There aren't too many commerical sources of the info you want. Most stuff is company provided or Boeing proprietary. Here are a couple of good sources for "generic" 767/757 procedures, etc. A bit expensive, but may prove worthwhile for you.

Comprehensive book on the Honeywell FMC:

www.firstnethou/fmcman/ (http://www.firstnethou/fmcman/)

Generic manual/checkride/sim check refresher book:

www.utem.com (http://www.utem.com)
www.canovaair.com (http://www.canovaair.com)

I'd be careful about jamming to many procedural items into my head prior to the course. As you know individual companies fly the same airplanes somewhat differently - in addition to having different engines. If I were you, I'd concentrate on getting the Limitations and Red-Boxed Memory Items memorized first and save detailed system/sim stuff for them to teach their way. Best of luck - you're gonna like the 75/76!
