Hi,

Was out on the apron workin bout 10 o'clock last night when a JMC 757 departed for Tenerife, halfway down the runway I heard what sounded like a popping noise then the aircraft didnt sound the same after that but carried on anyway, but my companys frequency is the same as JMC ops and I heard them speaking to an engineer sayin indications seemed ok however the aircraft is now not returning to GLA for possibly another 12 hours late so I only presume something is wrong with the engine, anybody have a scooby doo what it was???

Bird Strike I think. I understand one fan blade found damaged @ TFS.

You don't mention it but I sincerely hope you used the company frequency (or some other means) to pass on your observations!

Anyone know if this aircraft was on its way to Tenerife? If so, that dead bird has resulted in my mate getting put up in a 5 star hotel..... jammy git! :)
