From BA press release, 13.9.01:

"British Airways has confirmed that services from the UK to the USA and Canada remain suspended today, Thursday, September 13.

Resumption of services is dependent upon the reopening of US and Canadian airspace, which is subject to continuing review.

*British Airways' Tel Aviv flights will be resumed today with the first departure scheduled at 08.30 hrs from London Heathrow.*" (my asterisks)

..Just an attempt to claw back lost revenue? Or a supreme confidence in the new Hands Around the World..? Or in something else? Strange.

Not quite sure what you see as strange in BA resuming services to Tel Aviv. They were only suspended because Israel closed their airspace to non El Al flights. Israel announced yesterday that they were reopening airspace today to flights from Europe and Cairo. To me it looks as though BA are commencing normal schedules and giving the middle digit to the bast8rds who comitted these attrocities.

Life must go on. If we all stop then the bast8rds win.
