Take a look at back issues of 'Aeroplane Monthly' for about 25 or 30 years ago; a chap called Roy C Nesbit wrote a large number of illustrated articles about Beauforts in it.

Might have had something to do with his operational experence on type .

Dad was with 48 Squadron and trained in St Eval Jun 1940. I think trouble with engines so Squadron continued with Ansons

Just for interest

There are a number of photographs available from the the Imperial War Museum website. You can search here (https://www.iwm.org.uk/collections/photographs)
A search for "Bristol Beaufort" gave this result: Bristol Beaufort (https://www.iwm.org.uk/collections/search?query=bristol+beaufort&filters%5BwebCategory%5D%5BPhotographs%5D=on&pageSize=&media-records=records-with-media) some of these ( for example https://www.iwm.org.uk/collections/item/object/205126893) are of 42 Sqn aircraft.
