They were formerly Meridiana.
There were rumours of them planning to change to an all Airbus fleet due to the MAX grounding.

Were they anything to do with the former Air Europe (UK) ? After AE went bust in 1991, some associate airlines remained in business. One was AE (Italy) based in Milan .
