They were formerly Meridiana.
There were rumours of them planning to change to an all Airbus fleet due to the MAX grounding.

Were they anything to do with the former Air Europe (UK) ? After AE went bust in 1991, some associate airlines remained in business. One was AE (Italy) based in Milan .

So that's two Gulf based airlines that have got a bit bloody nosed in Italy.
Should be a warning not to open an aviation-related business - or any business for that matter - in Italy.

It's not Qatar's first bad investment. Their Darwin Airline investment... Darwinated.

If they keep this up, they'll end up like Swissair, bled to death by bad, minority, investments.
